Daniel Simango has been a lecturer at BISA since 2008, being full-time for the past year. He has just completed his PhD in Old Testament Studies and will be graduating in November 2011.
Daniel has a Licentiate in Theology from the Bible Institute of South Africa (2000), a BA in Theology (cum laude), a BA Honours in Theology from Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (2002), and an MA in Old Testament from North West University (2006). His Masters’ dissertation title was “The Image of God (Gen 1:26-27) in the Pentateuch: A Biblical-Theological Approach.” He has completed a PhD in Old Testament through North-West University and the title of his thesis was “An Exegetical Study of Imprecatory Psalms in the Old Testament.”After completing his honours degree in South Africa, he went back to Zimbabwe and he served as pastor of United Baptist Church in Zimbabwe for five years. He also completed a Masters degree part-time through North West University under the supervision of Dr John Ronning. He has lectured a range of biblical subjects at Rusitu Bible College in Chimanimani and at Harare Theological College in Harare. At the Bible Institute of South Africa, Daniel lectures in Old Testament and Hebrew.Daniel is married to Patience and they have two children, Mandla and Shalom
